Guido Ammirata is still a young man, but he is already full of ideas and ambitions. An entrepreneur at heart, he learns the ropes alongside major industry leaders: he is then the deputy to the CEO of Philips, a strategic position at the center of technological innovation of the time.
Then war breaks out. The world falters… But in 1946, Italy slowly begins to rise again: Italians rediscover their passion for cinema. Amateur and family films start appearing in households. This market is about to experience a real boom, one that will last two decades.
Riding this wave of enthusiasm, Philips decides to continue focusing on institutional clients and major accounts. The company does not have the structure or flexibility needed to support private customers and retailers. It is at this moment that Guido Ammirata identifies a strategic opportunity… In agreement with Philips, he decides to provide special support to these clients, as well as to private individuals. His goal? To best meet their needs.
To achieve this, he surrounds himself with his loved ones: his brother and nephews join the adventure and form an efficient sales team. Together, they envision a responsive company capable of shipping bulbs across the entire country.
In 1949, the company Guido Ammirata is officially founded, proudly bearing the name of its visionary founder.
With his experience, sharp business sense, and the help of his son Alessio, Guido Ammirata then develops numerous markets and product and service offerings adapted to the entertainment, medical and industrial sectors.
In 2024, Ammirata takes a major step with its acquisition by VLAD, opening the door to new opportunities aligned with its founding values.
